Dearly Beloved,
Greetings to you in the precious and life-giving name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
In our journey of faith, each of us encounters moments that test our strength, patience, and trust in God. Though we often strive to lead a committed Christian life, unexpected challenges—be they emotional, financial, spiritual, or physical—can leave us questioning God’s purpose. Yet it is in these very times that we are invited to deepen our faith and discover the divine guidance that has always been present in our lives.
The Scriptures remind us repeatedly that God works through every season. The life of Hannah is a beautiful testimony to this truth. In her pain, she cried out earnestly to the Lord, and through her steadfast faith, God blessed her beyond her expectations. Her story teaches us that sincere prayer and unwavering trust can open the doors to God’s abundant grace.
We also see in the life of Daniel how faith shines brightest in adversity. Surrounded by opposition and danger, Daniel remained rooted in devotion to God. His deliverance from the lions’ den was not only a miracle but a revelation that God honors those who remain faithful, no matter the circumstances.
In the New Testament, the encounter between Jesus and the woman who had been suffering for twelve years (Mark 5:25–34) illustrates how faith, even when expressed in silence and humility, can bring healing and restoration. Her simple act of touching the hem of Christ’s garment with hope transformed her life. It reminds us that God sees our struggles, hears our silent prayers, and responds with compassion.
As Christians, when we face hardships, we must remember that God never abandons His children. Each trial is a moment where God strengthens our character, disciplines our hearts, and draws us closer to Him. When we look back, we often realize that the very experiences that once frightened us became the stepping stones that shaped our spiritual growth.
As your Assistant Vicar, it is my earnest prayer that every family in our parish remains rooted in faith, committed in prayer, and united in Christian love. Let us support one another, uplift one another, and reflect Christ through our actions. In our joys and in our pains, may we continue to trust that God is leading us toward His perfect will.
May the grace of Christ strengthen you, the love of God protect you, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit dwell within your homes.
In Christ’s Love,
Rev. Fr. Cherian Joseph
Assistant Vicar
